The technical and commerciacial expertise within the organization enables it to provide solutions in plastics to a broad range of industries. HMT's diverse range of products accommodate the conveyance of potable water, chilled water, slurries, compressed air, sewer drainage, storm water and gas.
HMT Plastics is currently installing extrustion equipment to manufacture a range of HDPE (High density polyethylene). These piping systems are manufactures to the local SABS Standards and ISO Standards, on an international level.

Company Background
Founded in 1992, with a background in hydro power and backfill technology, HMT Projects expanded it's business into low, medium and high pressure valve systems as well as imports low, medium and high pressure piping. From the earliest days our company was built on engineering integrity and attention to detail.

HMT Plastics began in 2005 as manufacturers and supplier of the 'Certalok' PVC piping system into the civil sector. This product was manufactured in conjunction with the Amercian based company 'Cetainteed'. This neccesitated the use of PVC plastic extrusion equipment which was subsequently utilised for the mining and agricultural sectors.
The company obtained the SABS permit to produce these products in 2005 and since then, has grown it's range of products and capacity to where it is today.
The company's central location provides quick and easy access for it's customers, which assists in the building of strong relationships.

In South Africa and other parts of the developing world, the supply clean potable water is not only a priority but a basic neccessity of life. To make water available, given the limited capital resources, is a challenge in this modern era of pipe materials technology. With this background, several years have been spent in South Africa developing more cost effective piping systems which would meet the demand.
HMT Plastics embarked on a mission to develop and produce more cost effective products i.e mPVC and PE100. We now suppoer the demand of our customers to supply complete packages and provide a service on a 'one-stop-shop" basis.
HMT will continue to investigate possible cross border ventures in areas that require strong infrastructures for water, compressed air and sewage.
